Short Group Description
La Diferencia was founded in 2007 after several years of national and international stage experience with the international show team of Salsa Dance Squad (SDS) and is the only international female salsa dance team that travels to dance festivals worldwide performing to thousands of aspiring dancers and is known for their fusion of styles and storytelling choreographies.
The team is represented by four exceptionally talented ladies who pride themselves in building bridges between different dance disciplines such as salsa, modern jazz and afro. This synergy of styles and different personalities represent the powerful soul and the diversity of women which make La Diferencia unique. The ladies representing La Diferencia are Janneke Bexkens, Haweya Abdillahi, Joyce Silva Xavier and Tamara Garcia Arabit which is the latest member to join the team.
